JCW Racing is proud to announce a new partnership for the upcoming 2015 season, and will carry Racing 2 Cure on the RaceSaver 305 winged sprint as it competes at several tracks across central Pennsylvania next year. “Fighting cancer one lap at a time,” Racing 2 Cure’s mission is to assist families currently in the fight against the disease. Based in Belmont, North Carolina, Racing 2 Cure is a non-profit organization aiming to help with the “human side” of cancer. Through various fundraising opportunities including online donation, annual events, various community “give back” nights, and their online store, the organization uses funds raised towards various expenses, such as travel, temporary housing, monthly household expenses, transportation, insurance premiums, or needed medical equipment. Portions of R2C’s funds are also donated to both the Susan G. Komen for the Cure and Levine Children’s Hospital located in Charlotte, North Carolina. In addition, Racing 2 Cure features weekly cancer “heroes” on their website, someone who has fought the battle and won, or is currently fighting the disease. Those wishing to donate to Racing 2 Cure under JCW Racing may do so by visiting racing2cure.org/jake-waters. The team has set an ultimate goal of raising $10,000, with 60% of the proceeds going to Racing 2 Cure. Those donating to the organization under JCW Racing will be featured as part of the Donor Wall online, along with other proud partners of the team. For more information about Racing 2 Cure can be found by visiting their website at racing2cure.org, facebook.com/Racing2Cure, or by following the organization on Twitter at twitter.com/Racing2Cure. If you would like to nominate a cancer hero to be featured as a part of the organization’s weekly series, visit racing2cure.org/heroes. |
